The rules

The rules differ by profession.

A tactic that is fine for a physiotherapy clinic can be professional misconduct for a dentist. Every page we publish is checked against the standard that applies to you.

  1. Dentists

RCDSO. No testimonials, superlatives, comparisons, free offers or contests. Marketing fees cannot be a share of the business a campaign brings in.

  2. Physiotherapists

CPO Advertising and Marketing Standard. Claims must be truthful and verifiable. Testimonials allowed if genuine, unpaid and used with consent.

  3. Optometrists

Ontario Regulation 119/94. No testimonials or comparative statements. Everything factual and verifiable.

  4. Chiropractors

CCO standards. Nothing misleading, and no express or implied guarantee that care will work.

Reporting

What we report every month.

Questions

Questions.

What is the difference between healthcare marketing and regular digital marketing?

The channels are the same: Google, websites, reviews and ads. The rulebook is different. Each profession has its own advertising standard, patient information is protected by privacy law, and the result that matters is a booked appointment, not a click.

Which part should a clinic start with?

Your Google Business Profile and tracking. They are the cheapest fixes with the fastest effect, and without tracking you can't tell whether anything else is working.

Do you do social media?

No. For most independent clinics, search is where patients with a real need go looking. We do fewer things and prove they work.

Do you work outside London?

Our focus is London and nearby communities such as St. Thomas, Strathroy, Komoka, Ilderton and Dorchester. If you are elsewhere in southwestern Ontario, ask.
